VEXED humbly offers a contemporary and progressive view of modern culture! The talented newcomers to alternative metal from the UK VEXED, caught the eye right away.
with his recent work as "Elite" with CJ McMahon of "Thy Art Is Murder" - creating an underground buzz instantly giving his fans a unique taste of what to expect in the future. That wait ended the overwhelming Hertfordshire Quartet by resurging with their debut album ad, "Culling Culture," which will be released on May 21, 2021, on Napalm Records.
With its first brutally heavy production, Vexed highlights its declination to be classified in sonically conformist categories.
The technical dexterity is relentless, chaining the ear with intellectual arrogance and savage brutality but always focused, having as a secret weapon his lyrical so gently moving, therefore professionally worked. The album's title, "Culling Culture," and parts of its content provide the answer to the latest social phenomena of public ostracism, "cancel culture."
Confronting personal experiences, "Culling Culture" is a sincere tribute to hatred, betrayal and anger, while reflecting postmodern society with remarkably honest compositions and heavy groove. His first single, "Hideous", along with a captivating official music video, serves to awaken audiences and also show that anger can destroy or provide real strength. With this offer, Vexed scientifically proves the latter. Vexed on their first single: “It gives us great satisfaction to share with you our Grindhouse inspired music video for our debut single, “Hideous”. Fueled by the feeling of ‘seeing red’ and having to decide how to react in moments of betrayal and rage, do you let your blood boil over or sit and wait for the killing instinct to pass?”

The successful attack vocalized by Megan Targett mixing the art of screaming techniques with mixes of sharp raps as in "Fake" and or "Weaponise" is supported by the pure technique of bandmates Willem Mason-Geraghty, drummer, Jay Bacon on the guitar and Al Harper on bass. In the song "Ignorant" he favored the threatening atmosphere of the album which provides a excellent base to instantly break the so-called "Hediondo" and the threatening and fire tracks "Fake" and "Narcissist." The ghostly "Aurora" and the disrespectfully heavy closest album "Lazarus" show Targett's clean, multifaceted vocal delivery while confronting supernatural auras with resonant melodic rhythms. "Epiphany" combines both, generously offering a bold message to overcome self-loathing, while the arrogantly heavy offer of "Armament" seethes between violent hatred and the profound darkness of the controlled environment.
